VCA Lafayette Animal Hospital currently has 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, all graduating from accredited programs and licensed with the state of Indiana. Additionally, we have 7 veterinary assistants, 4 of which are currently enrolled in Veterinary Nursing programs. We are always supporting the future of veterinary medicine by hosting DVM and Veterinary Nursing student externs. If there seems to be an extra person in your pet’s exam, this is probably the case. We value a culture of learning and mentoring and appreciate your acceptance of these students involvement of your pet’s health.
Keeping up with forward thinking, VCA Lafayette Animal Hospital has begun practicing hands-free radiology techniques. Pushing the curve for patient and staff safety, we are moving to a more calming and hands off approach for your pets radiography needs. This cultivates a less stressful experience for your pet and lowers the everyday exposure of harmful radiation to staff. With this in mind, we also practice Fear Free handling of your pets.
