Dr. Hora was born in Japan and grew up in Hong Kong, but is now happy to call the Bay Area her home. She moved out to California to pursue her undergraduate studies, completing a B.A. in Psychology at UC Berkeley. After working in Psychology research for a few years, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, followed by a rotating small animal internship at Ironhorse Vetcare in Dublin, CA. She enjoys various aspects of veterinary medicine including soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine and preventative care. She believes in leveraging current and high-quality medicine to help nurture the human-animal bond.
Dr. Hora resides in Berkeley with her husband and two cats named Scout and Atticus, who are "foster fails" from the Orphan Kitten Project at UC Davis. She enjoys cooking, live music, skiing/snowboarding, camping, traveling, and watching TV shows with said cats.
