Dr. Tatiana Melvin was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She immigrated to the United States in 2012. Dr. Melvin has always had desire to help and take care of animals, and she volunteered at a local animal shelter in Irvine, California, from 2013 to 2016 to start her journey of becoming a veterinarian. While she worked on her bachelor's degree in animal science at the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, she had a job as a veterinary assistant at a VCA Tri-City Animal Hospital in Fullerton, California. Dr. Melvin then got accepted to the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine and received her DMV in May 2024. She has a cat named Frisk who she often calls Saucy Boy due to his personality. Dr. Melvin loves to try new places to eat with her husband and enjoys different kinds of cuisines, including Japanese, Italian, and Vietnamese. Her other hobbies include drawing, reading manga and watching anime.
