Hometown Care at VCA Midpark Animal Hospital

You and your pet are always welcome at VCA Midpark Animal Hospital!

We would love the opportunity to show you why our clients share a trust and confidence in our medical team. Communication is a key element. It's one essential way we help you make informed decisions about preventative health care and treating disease.

We share our homes with pets too and know that they are a part of the family. That's why we approach every pet's medical care as if it were our own. We're just an extension of your family doctor.

Our experienced medical staff is dedicated to continued learning on the latest topics that can affect your cat or dog. And as a hospital, we are constantly growing to meet your pets needs.

We've been providing veterinary care for 23 years in this area so look for us out in the community. We also believe in being active in supporting rescue organizations to help our furred friends obtain their forever home.

Local Medical Issues

There are numerous local medical issues that can impact your pet's health and that require your attention over the entire year. For example, there's heartworm, which can affect both cats and dogs. Since it's transmitted by mosquitoes, which exist in our region, it can be a serious cause for concern.

Likewise for the potential for a flea infestation, or intestinal parasites, each of which can pose a problem in any season.

And finally, contrary to what you'd expect, allergies are a year-round issue. Many pets suffer from skin and ear allergies, the signs of which include scratching, redness in the ears and "scaly" skin.

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
