While growing up in Washington state, Dr. Marci Simpson developed a love of science, animals and the outdoors. She did her undergraduate studies of animal science and zoology at Washington State University. She got her DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoyed her clinical studies in Missouri and her internship at Toledo Zoo. After some travels, she decided that she could live without snow. She relocated to Fort Myers for proximity to the ocean and lack of snow shoveling. Shortly after moving to Florida, she met a kitty in need of a home. She and Bart Simpson became fast friends. She enjoys helping to cultivate and strengthen the human animal bond. She has joined the VCA family and has found joy in helping take care of the wonderful pets here.
