Dr. Scott Vaughan has served as the Medical Director of VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital since 2002. He is homegrown, graduating from Calallen High School in 1983. In 1991, he attained his boyhood dream of becoming a Veterinarian graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in College Station. In 2004, Dr. Vaughan became the first veterinarian practicing south of San Antonio to complete his board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in canine and feline practice. He has a special interest in diagnostic sonography and rigid endoscopy. He is also the co-founder of CE by the Sea, an annual event that provides continuing education to over 200 veterinarians from around the state and raises $25,000 per year to fund endowed scholarships to help veterinary students with the rising cost of veterinary school. He is also active in the community serving as a deacon in Calallen Baptist Church and as The President of Reach Ministries. He and his wife, Gina, are enjoying life as empty nesters and spend time with their grandchildren whenever possible.
