Dr. Jennifer Bolich is an Idaho native who transplanted to California to pursue her dreams of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from University of California at Davis in 1999 where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with an Equine emphasis. She worked for a few years at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital as a research assistant for the Anesthesiology Department. Before being accepted to veterinary school, Dr. Bolich was added as a researcher and then published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research for her work on inhalant anesthetic requirement in cats. In addition to her veterinary training, she completed an externship in Equine Medicine in Santiago, Chile. Dr. Bolich proudly received a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2006.
After veterinary school, she relocated to the Peninsula area to join VCA Bayshore Animal Hospital and their team where she worked for 17 years. During that time she became the medical director for 10 years at Bayshore and will continue her leadership at VCA San Mateo.
