Dr. Caccia is a Bay Area native, and was born and raised in San Mateo, CA. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California Davis, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2006. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pomona, CA in 2011. Dr. Caccia then completed a year-long small animal rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, CA. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Caccia returned to the Bay Area and joined the VCA Palo Alto Animal Hospital staff in 2012. Her special veterinary interests include general medicine, dentistry, senior animal support, and hospice care. Dr. Caccia loves interacting with dogs and cats of all sizes, shapes, colors, breed, age, etc. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Dr. Caccia currently lives in San Mateo with her spunky senior tabby cat named Sate and her adorable senior Pomeranian dog named Fifi (pictured). When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Caccia enjoys Giants baseball (Go Giants!), biking, pleasure reading, going to the lake (Clear Lake is her happy place), trying new food, exploring new places, wine tasting, and daycations.
