Dr. Becky Niedfeldt graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. While her husband, Jeremy, finished his commitment to the United States National Guard, Dr. Niedfeldt joined a small animal practice in Gainesville, Florida. Over the next two years, she developed a strong interest in complex medical cases and pediatrics. In July 2006, she and her husband relocated to the Orlando area and she joined VCA Sheeler Road Animal Hospital. Dr. Niedfeldt is a published author in the Journal of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia and is a member of several veterinary associations including the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Central Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Niedfeldt enjoys spending time with her two children, Joshua and Mackenzie. Her family also includes an energetic Labrador Retriever named Darla (pictured above), Charlotte, a young and spunky cat, a saltwater reef aquarium, a hermit crab and two Guinea Pigs. In the summers, she and her children will raise monarch caterpillars then release them once they become butterflies. Dr. Niedfeldt's favorite hobbies include scuba diving and mountain hiking.
