Team Spotlight
Dr. Bystry graduated from Agricultural and Technical Academy of Veterinary Medicine ART in Olsztyn, Poland in 1985. He practiced large animal medicine before moving to the United States. After completing his veterinary board exams, he worked in several small animal hospitals on Long Island. Dr. Bystry joined VCA in 2002 as Medical Director of Sunrise Vet Group. He enjoys cooking and gardening, but his true passion is tennis. Dr. Bystry lives in Islip with his wife, Katarzyna, and two children, Daria and Rafal. He is one of our highly talented doctors that puts the care of your pets first.
Alexis is our hospital manager here at Sunrise Veterinary Group, she has two cats, a macaw and has a special spot in her heart for Great Danes!
