Pet Boarding

When you have to travel and can't bring your pet, you can trust our hospital to offer compassionate care while you are away. If you have questions about what boarding options are available for your pet, please contact our hospital to discuss rates and availability. So we can better serve you and your pet, please make reservations in advance, especially around the holidays.

We've recently updated our vaccine and health requirements to better protect your pet during their boarding stay.

All boarders must must be fully vaccinated at least 7 days prior to the drop off date. We require the following core vaccines:

  • Dogs -Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, CIV (HN8 and H3N2).

  • Felines – Rabies and Feline Distemper

  • We strongly recommend annual intestinal parasite testing for all patients.

Pets must be free from fleas and ticks.  If fleas or ticks are found during the boarding check-in exam, your pet will be given an oral flea treatment and the cost of that product will be added to your pets boarding charges.

Proof of vaccinations must be provided at least 2 days prior to the drop off date.

Pets with a known history of stress-related diarrhea during boarding will need to be on a Probiotic throughout their stay. It is recommended to start the Probiotic 2 days prior to boarding and continue an additional 2 days after boarding. This is to help regulate stools throughout their stay. Fortiflora, Proviable, and Visbiome are recommended. These products can be purchased here if the patient has had an exam within the past 12 months.

Because we are not staffed overnight and on weekends, we cannot provide adequate care for boarders requiring medical care. Patients with medical conditions will be considered for boarding on a case by case basis.

If you have any questions regarding boarding eligibility or requirements for your pet, please give us a call.
