Dr. Bailey is a Kansas native and was raised in a farming community where her father was a mixed-practice veterinarian and her mother was an archeologist. Dr. Bailey raised her two daughters in Kansas and as they became teenagers, she decided that it was time for her to go to college. Dr. Bailey graduated in 1998 with a degree in biology and then attended Kansas State University for her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She moved to Boston for a rotating internship in medicine and surgery, and then completed an internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University. Dr. Bailey obtained board certification in Internal Medicine in 2007.
Dr. Bailey has been practicing specialty medicine in Arizona since 2005 and remains active in the veterinary community as a lecturer for the AzVMA and as an Animal Health Advisory Committee member for the Phoenix Zoo. Dr. Bailey enjoys all aspects of Internal Medicine as well as managing cases with multiple problems. One of her passions is taking care of older pets who need a little extra care.
In her free time, she enjoys bird watching, photography, reading and spending time with her pets and extended family. Dr. Bailey has three dogs and four cats who were abandoned or relinquished but are now very loved and very spoiled. Dr. Bailey is excited to be back in Tucson and can't wait to meet you and your pets!
