Dr. Geisreiter has had the privilege of growing up in Victoria, BC and, from a young age, has developed a keen interest in animal friends and the incredible value of the human-animal bond. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Simon Fraser University, she continued her professional development at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan where she graduated with Distinction.
Since graduation, Dr. Geisreiter has had a diverse career in the veterinary field. She worked as a general practice veterinarian for several years in both Alberta and British Columbia before stepping out of clinical practice to pursue a technical role with a leading veterinary pharmaceutical company. Through this opportunity, Dr. Geisreiter realized that she had a passion for management and was thrilled to join the VCA Canada team first as the Regional Operations Director for Vancouver Island before taking on the General Manager role at VCA Canada Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Geisreiter enjoys spending time with her young family and getting outside as much as possible in the beautiful parks and trails of Vancouver Island. She is an avid runner and enjoys cuddling up with her Boston Terrier, Puggle, and ferociously friendly cat.
