Dr. Jessica Burn received her DVM from University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and began a one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre in 2015. She stayed on to practice emergency medicine before pursuing a one-year specialty ophthalmology internship at Michigan State University in 2016. This was followed by a four-year combined Master of Science and comparative veterinary ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University. Although the majority of Dr. Burn’s patients are dogs and cats, she also enjoys equine and exotic cases. Dr. Burn is an outdoor enthusiast and in her spare time she can be found hiking, paddleboarding, horseback riding and practicing yoga.
