Dr. Stephen Mercer was born and raised in Olathe, he developed his love for animals working at a pet grooming salon as a young man. Through his life, he has had the pleasure of having a variety of pets, from dogs and cats, to rabbits, gerbils and hamsters, and even fishes and frogs. Dr. Mercer loves being able to work with so many pets, and focusing his time and effort on improving the quality and quantity of life of these beloved family members.
Dr. Mercer completed his undergraduate education at Kansas State University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science in 2017. He continued his veterinary education at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2019.
Cardiology and diagnostic imaging are a few of Dr. Mercer's many veterinary medical interests.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Mercer enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and working on home improvement projects. He has three beloved cats, Sidney, Maggie, and Jace, and a loveable and energetic dog named June.
