Dr. Juliette Pruitt is joining our team August 26th, 2020. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University, and then went on to receive her veterinary degree there as well. In addition to a love for dogs and cats, she has always had a passion for exotics and has strived to work with them whenever possible. While in school she worked at an aviary where she performed positive behavior training with macaws and other large parrots. She also studied wildlife in Peru and South Africa. Prior to joining VCA Hometown, she spent the last three years at another practice in town that saw a large volume of exotics such as birds, reptiles, and pocket pets.
Dr. Pruitt enjoys pottery, paddle boarding, cycling, playing the cello, and yoga. She has a dog named Lyla, and a cat named Leo. Dr. Pruitt's special interests include internal medicine, exotic animal medicine, animal behavior, and ultrasound.
