Dr. Tung was born in Taipei City, Taiwan, and moved to Houston, Texas, in her early teens. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology. During her time in college, she gained invaluable experience as a medical intern at the neonatal kitten nursery at Austin Pets Alive.
Dr. Tung then attended Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, where she graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She has always had a deep love for shelter medicine and discovered her passion for surgery and dermatology during vet school.
Dr. Tung shares her home with a Golden Retriever mix named Fifi, three cats named Quinoa, Queso, and Uni, and a Maltese named Happy. On her days off, she enjoys staying at home and spending time with her fur babies. She has recently gotten into playing pickleball and loves exploring new restaurants. Now that she is no longer in school, she looks forward to traveling more.
Dr. Tung fell in love with the team at VCA Hometown Animal Hospital from her first visit and is excited to start her veterinary career with such a dedicated and caring team. She looks forward to meeting you and providing the best care for your pets!
