“Until one has loved a pet, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
- Anatole France
Animals are such as an intricate part of our lives and I am honored to help them and their owners through all that life has to offer. I am blessed to have spent a majority of my medical career in the US Army providing care to the Military Working Animals, Service family pets and animals abroad. The animals that serve in our military are as unique and impressive as they come. It’s not every day you get to be handcuffed by a dolphin on harbor patrol.
Veterinary medicine has become more fulfilling than I thought possible. I look forward to meeting all the new faces, wagging tails and purring head-butts in the future.
Dr. James has been a Veterinarian at VCA Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital since 2019.

Loves of My Life
I could not do what I do without the unconditional love and support of my partner in crime, Michael, and our unstoppable twins, Evelyn and Sydney. In true veterinary fashion I have been blessed with a plethora of pets thus far (too many to name). Every one of them are a gift providing me a new perspective on life and strength to help those in need. Outside of medicine, I enjoy baking, crafting, reading and horseback riding.
