Dr. Madeline Brownlee is joining VCA Orchard in October 2024. Dr. Brownlee graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. While living in Kansas City, she joined VCA Fairway Animal Hospital and has been in the VCA Family ever since!
Dr. Brownlee grew up in a suburb of Kansas City. She attended Kansas State University for three years of undergrad before early acceptance into vet school at Kansas State. Kim joined the hospital team in 2008 after dedicating nine years to helping homeless animals at the Dumb Friends League. She describes herself as a "Midwestern-Jersey-girl" who found her true home in the mountains of the west. Although her degree is in communications and graphic design, her lifelong passion for animal welfare has taken the lead in her career path. In August 2019, Kim traveled to Kenya and worked with a veterinary team and the Africa Network for Animal Welfare to vaccinate over 9,400 dogs, cats and donkeys against rabies.
