Dr. Kristi Burn is professionally interested in providing care for the critically ill. Some of her special interests include stabilization of trauma patients, rattlesnake envenomations, imaging, and correction of metabolic derangements.
Dr. Burns completed her undergraduate education at Florida Atlantic University and went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 2007. She received her DVM from Ross University in 2012. After graduation, she completed a Small Animal Medicine, Surgery, General Practice, and Critical Care internship at Veterinary Specialist of Connecticut in 2013. Following her internship she began her emergency veterinary career with the Emergency Animal Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Seeking a more integrated and diverse practice, she joined the Emergency and Critical team at VCA Animal Referral & Emergency Center of Arizona in 2016.
