Dr. Furphy is originally from New Jersey, received her undergrad degree from Quinnipiac University and is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a clinical year of study at The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine, including a double rotation in cardiology and has been in practice since 2008. Dr. Furphy enjoys caring for small animals and exotics, also has experience working in mixed animal practice. Dr. Furphy is Fear Free Certified and her special interests include preventive medicine, laser therapy, alternative medicine and herbal therapy.
In her spare time, Dr. Furphy loves spending time with her family. She shares her home with her husband, Allen, and her two children: son, Ryker, and daughter, Adalene. Her fur children include her pups, Willie, Maisy and Tiana, and her kitties, Spinderella, Dre and Moo Moo. Dr. Furphy’s hobbies include being an avid hockey and equestrian mom, watching football, making crafts (always with glitter), baking, working out and being with her family and friends.
