Dr. Gustafson is a general practitioner who has been with Veterinary Specialists since 1982. A Colorado native, Dr. Gustafson received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree as well as his BS in Animal Science from Colorado State University. Upon graduation, he moved to Connecticut and worked for eight years as a clinician in general practice in West Hartford and Farmington before joining Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Gustafson is active in all aspects of veterinary care with special interests in otology, well care and small mammal medicine. He has twice been named “Best Veterinarian” by the Hartford Advocate Readers’ Poll. In his spare time, Dr. Gustafson enjoys photography, family, spending time in the mountains and music. He and his wife are active volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. He shares his home with two pugs and four cats.
