Rehabilitation

The Story of Bailey

“Bailey” really was the inspiration behind the whole rehabilitation service at VCA Canada's 404.  Having sustained an injury to her Achilles tendon which required surgical repair at the age of 7, Drs. Isakow and Fagnou were placed in the role familiar to all pet owners… worrying about Bailey’s return to function.    No such services were available in Ontario at the time of her surgery, and so, in seeking to educate herself on the techniques and science behind repair and strengthening damaged tendon, Dr. Joanne Fagnou completed the University of Tennessee’s certification course in Canine Rehabilitation in 2004, to become fully certified in 2006.

“Bailey” lived up to the ripe old age of 15 1/2, and will be forever missed.
