I am originally from New Zealand where I graduated from Massey University with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Science. I worked in a rural general practice for 2 years before pursuing my passion for surgery. I completed a rotating internship at Mississippi State University in 2013, then a surgery internship at VCA Alta Vista in Ottawa prior to completing my residency at the Ontario Veterinary College. I became boarded in Small Animal Surgery in 2020 and worked at the University of Illinois as an Assistant Professor before deciding to return to Canada.

My research focuses on Minimally Invasive Soft Tissue Surgery with an interest in promoting and teaching these approaches. I am excited to offer laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries such as gastropexy, ovariectomy, adrenalectomy, cholecystectomy, lung lobectomy, and ligamentum arteriosum transection for PRAA.

In my time away from work I like to spend time with my husband, dog and cat at our cottage in Quebec.
