Jaimee Gillis completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia in 2013 prior to returning to her home province, Prince Edward Island, for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College. After completing her DVM degree in 2018 she moved to Calgary, Alberta for a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the VCA Canada CARE Centre. During her internship, she developed an enthusiasm for emergency and critical care and has since joined the VCA Canada 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital team.

Dr. Gillis currently lives in Georgina with her partner, Chris, and their Labrador Retriever, Coral. In her spare time, she can be found camping, boating, beaching, cooking, traveling, reading or eating inordinate amounts of seafood.
