Dr. Dawley, an Ottawa native, is delighted to be returning home to join the exceptional team at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital. Dr. Jessica Dawley’s love of animals, coupled with her devotion to the environment, fueled her decision to complete an undergraduate degree in Biology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Building on this degree, Jessica determined that veterinary medicine was the path she wanted to pursue. Not only did it marry her love for animals and medicine, but veterinarians play an important role in the, “One Health Initiative”, advocating for the health of people, animals and the environment.

Dr. Dawley attended the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She thrives in a fast paced working environment and is committed to supporting owners and animals alike in their most stressful life situations.

Jessica loves to be active and spend time outdoors! She enjoys sports, having played Varsity Field Hockey at Queens’s University, as well as Competitive Club Soccer. She enjoys her cottage where she hikes, swims, paddle boards and spends time with family, which includes her Golden Retriever, “Crosby”, and her cat, “Madden”! She is drawn to the ocean for holidays and outings as she has her scuba diving certification and loves to explore nature.
