Dr. Tara Chapman, a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, came to Ottawa after completing her small animal internal medicine residency program at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She has been working in the Internal Medicine Department at Alta Vista Animal Hospital since September 2006 and enjoys the daily challenges presented by the medicine cases she is referred.

Within the discipline of Internal Medicine, Dr. Chapman has a special interest in immune-mediated disorders, gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases, and diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and endoscopy.

In her leisure time, Dr. Chapman enjoys alpine skiing, kayaking, travelling, hiking and spending time with her family including two cats, Joan and Mike.
